One the hardest things about traveling is being away from and out of touch with family and friends. There are two basic types of SIM cards you can use:
- card issued in a particular country for use within that country
Advantage: you will receive that specific country's service rates.
Disadvantage: you can only use your cell phone within that country.
- international card for continuous roaming from country to country
Advantage: you are not limited to where your cell phone will work
Disadvantage: service rate will be higher, though still far cheaper.
